Hunter Brown

Robotics Researcher and Ph. D student at Oregon State University

About Me

I am a Ph.D student and researcher at Oregon State University. Currently I work jointly with Dr. Geoffrey Hollinger and Dr. Stefan Lee. We are focused on simulation-free reinforcement learning for robust underwater manipulation.

I spent the last 5 years serving as an officer in the US Navy. During that time I held a variety of billets. I was a command investigator, construction manager, assistant public works officer, and recycling plant supervisor.

Before that I attended the University of Utah where I completed a combined BS/MS program in mechanical engineering with a focus on robotics. I worked with Dr. Tucker Hermans, in the LL4MA lab on multisensory fusion, interactive segmentation and perception.
